Looking for a custom die-casting parts company

Die casting is a metal casting process characterized by the pressing of molten metal into a mold cavity under high pressure. The mold cavity is created using two hardened tool steel molds that have been machined into shape, in a process similar to an injection mold. Most die castings are made of non-ferrous metals, especially zinc, copper, aluminum, magnesium, lead, tin and tin-based alloys. Depending on the type of metal being cast, a hot chamber or cold chamber machine is used.

Casting equipment and metal molds represent significant capital costs, which often limit the process to high-volume production. Manufacturing parts using die casting is relatively simple, involving only four main steps, keeping incremental costs per product low. It is especially suitable for a large number of small to medium castings, which is why die casting produces more castings than any other casting process.

In competing with aluminium alloys as structural materials, magnesium alloys have the advantages of low density, high strength ratio, better electromagnetic shielding properties and castability. These result in the preferential use of magnesium alloys in 3C components(Computer, Communication and Consumer product) where lightweight , heat dissipation, electromagnetic shielding is critical.also have extremely broad applications in the fields of automotive, aerospace, outdoor sports and so on.

With the high integration in 3C , removing the excessive heat produced during the operation of electronic components and heat exchangers, which causes the components to fail as a result of overheating or deformation, becomes more urgent. The demand for materials with both excellent heat dissipation and mechanical properties is increasing rapidly. Selecting materials with appropriate thermal conductivity is very important for achieving the best performance of components.

Mg alloys exhibit great potential as heat dissipation materials owing to their smaller heat capacity and better heat dissipation effects than those of Al alloys. Over the past decades, there have been some efforts devoting to enhancing the thermal conductivity of Mg alloys with a clear understanding of the fundamental heat transfer at the micro, nano and even molecular scales.

Aiming to develop a Mg alloys that can provide significantly improved thermal conductivity in comparison to the commonly used AZ91D magnesium alloys,  Zhongmei built Research Institute of Magnesium Alloy Materials jointly with the global leading expert, Prof. Pan Fusheng of Chongqing University and his team.

The Research Instittue keep doing experiments & testing , has made considerable achievements

Creating Precision with Die Casting Molds

Die casting is a manufacturing process that has been used for decades to produce high-quality, precision parts. The process involves injecting molten metal into a mold under high pressure, which solidifies the metal and creates the desired shape. The precision of the finished product depends on the quality of the die casting mold used in the process.   Die casting molds must be designed and manufactured with extreme precision to ensure that the final product meets the required specifications. The mold must be able to withstand the high pressure of the molten metal and maintain its shape without warping or...

The Difference Between Aluminum and Cast Aluminum

Aluminum and cast aluminum are two commonly used materials in the manufacturing industry. While they may seem similar, there are significant differences between the two that can affect their properties and applications. In this article, we will explore the difference between aluminum and cast aluminum.   Composition   Aluminum is a chemical element with the symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a soft, silvery-white metal that is lightweight and ductile. Aluminum is the third most abundant element in the Earth's crust, making up about 8% of the crust by weight. It is often alloyed with other metals to...

Buy Squeeze Casting: An Overview of the Advanced Metal Casting Process

Introduction:   Squeeze casting is an advanced metal casting process that combines the advantages of both casting and forging. It allows for the production of complex-shaped components with superior mechanical properties. This article provides an overview of squeeze casting, its benefits, applications, and its future prospects.   1. What is Squeeze Casting?   Squeeze casting, also known as liquid metal forging or liquid forging, is a manufacturing process that involves the pouring of molten metal into a preheated die cavity. The die is then closed and subjected to high pressure, which solidifies the metal and fills any remaining voids in...

Fast and Affordable Prototyping Services for Your Next Innovation

In today's fast-paced technological landscape, it's more important than ever to have a working prototype of your invention to ensure its success. Prototyping is the process of creating a physical representation of your product idea to test its functionality, design, and performance. This allows you to identify any potential flaws or improvements that need to be made before its full-scale production.   The traditional methods of prototyping could take weeks, if not months, to complete, and could cost an arm and a leg. However, with the advent of new technologies, prototyping has become faster and more affordable than ever before....
