Magnesium and aluminium alloy Die-casting manufacturers and suppliers

Magnesium and aluminium alloy Die-casting manufacturers and suppliers

Magnesium in the aluminum alloy acts as a strengthening element. The chemical properties of magnesium are relatively active. At high temperatures, it will increase the tendency of the molten aluminum to absorb oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen, and increase the pore defects of aluminum parts. During the solidification process, the strengthening phase is precipitated, which has a certain hindering effect on the molten aluminum. If the feeding capacity is insufficient, it will lead to loose defects in the casting.
How is the quality of magnesium alloy die castings compared to aluminum alloy die castings?
Generally, high-end products use magnesium alloy die-casting parts, and most of the gearboxes of imported cars from many world brands use die-casting magnesium alloy instead of die-casting aluminum alloy, which is inferior to magnesium alloy die-casting in terms of strength and weight.
